38CrMoAl is a high-grade nitriding steel. On the basis of ordinary carbon Bai plain steel, nitrogen atoms are infiltrated into the surface layer of the workpiece in a certain medium at a certain temperature, so as to obtain the characteristics of high wear resistance, high fatigue strength, high strength, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
It is mainly used for nitriding parts with accurate size after heat treatment, or various nitriding parts with low impact load and high wear resistance, such as mould imitation, cylinder liner, gear, high pressure valve, boring bar, worm, grinder spindle, etc., but the parts with larger size should not be used.
